Thanks for the reply. I haven't touched any of the wiring on the BT master socket. It has a detachable front plate which I think allows for an extension from this socket. Unfortunately I can't locate the router next to the BT master socket as there is'nt a power supply there and I have already run all the Cat 5 cables throughout the building and the walls and ceilings have been plastered. Thanks for the links and your advice.
