BT have offered you an expected speed of at least 60/20. If as you claim, 80/20 is not available in your area, which of the above two options do you think you are being offered?

Since you can get at least 60/20, something other than 40/10 (and 40/2) must be available. You claim 80/20 is not available in your area, leaving zero options, a logical impossibility.
Therefore, if I am wrong, so is BT Retail, who sells the service, and Openreach, who run the cabinets and sells the service to BT are also wrong.
Please stop trying to insult me when it's pretty damn obvious you're the one without a clue, and who constantly makes up his posts.

Credit where it's due, I must congratulate you on not having hit rock bottom, yet...

60 is 60. And that is what BT have told me is available to me. Or are you going to say that they are wrong also?
If you want to talk about name calling, the you should look at many of your previous posts when anyone doesn't agree with you. And also the private messages that you send.
It's about time that you were mature enough to accept that you don't know it all. And other people are entitled to make a post that you don't agree with, without you abusing them for it.

Therefore, if I am wrong, so is BT Retail

If you are right, then BT are also wrong, because they said quite clearly 60mb
