Thank you for the suggestions.
1. I have been using a netbook with both the onboard wireless and the Virgin usb dongle. Still an unreliable connection.
2. Shub is set to 145 Mbps, and has been since day 1. 300 Mbps is a known issue.
3.I have used inSSIDer to monitor my wireless "overlap" from my neighbours.
You seem to have missed the point of my post. My problem is that since the "upgrade" from 30 to 60, the wireless connection problems have become worse.

Shub is not set to automatically select the wireless channel. I have tried using all of them in turn and it still is not as it was. (Not brilliant from the outset).
