If you are the type of person that likes putting thumbs up and down by programmes (what happens if a brother and sister do opposites?) and wants things to record that you did not ask for and don't mind when episodes for what you DID ask for are suddenly deleted because you did not manually set it not to delete (why does it do that?) then Tivo is definitely for you.
Many of us just want an easy to use, reliable recorder with the mininimum of button presses.

I disagree. Tivo is good. Yes it lacks some features other PVR's can do but remeber Tivo is a US product and they dont use some of the features we do so it takes time to develop it for our needs
