Horses can break down at lesser meetings and on the gallops and these are not mentioned at all by the media because its not headline news but because its the Grand National the media will put it as front page headlines thus fuelling the clamour to change the race even more then it has been done already or even some are even calling for the scrapping of the race and although it is very sad to lose horses there will always be a risk in jump racing and this can never ever be got rid of unless the sports is stopped and do we really want this and the answer to that would be a resounding no by the vast majority of the public.
