if the police where allowed to strike who would kettle and beat their protesting members to a pulp for having the nerve to have an opinion differing from that of the government ,not the police as they would be on strike- the gov might have to bring in private security firms to dish out the justice ,this would prove very expensive ,so its probably best if things stay the way they are
Unions have a right to strike..

Plus the Law Society which is a regulatory body for solicitors and barristers is also their union.Never heard them ballot for strikes.

I'm sure there are other such bodies that do not strike.
