Yes off duty and on leave. Still leaves a big chunk of cops on duty.
The last time the Fed balloted it was about 85% in favour. That was quietly forgotten.
It will show that you can protest in large numbers without resorting to violence and destruction. An alien concept to some who think that without bottles and bricks being thrown, war monuments being desecrated or fire extinguishers dropped from roofs they aren't getting their point across.
Windsor part 1 was a disgrace, part 2 is an utter outrage from a man who previous policing experience is nil and has been proven in part 1 to have lied about his sources.
To widely proclaim the UK police force is the best in the world and beg for help when shops are being burnt and looted then stab us in the back with a shambling report from a man who previously knackered the UK train system won't be forgotten soon.
With the runnyshootyjumpy games coming up it won't take much to cause issues without going on strike. Simply doing everything EXACTLY to the letter of the law and by regulations would cause havoc. And if a particular virulent strain of flu that only seemed to target Police officers swept the land that would be terrible.

Thanks Derek for imput do you consider its two groups one who think its the right for the action younger more modern thinking officers. Then there the group who been officers going way back consider it old school thoughts sort dixon dock green they dont like the thought of there younger officers views.
I think many police abroad have the right to strike action this interesting thought if they dont get would it be legally challenged. The grey area though this right not to strike wonder if the goernment say officers wont be allowed under contract maybe why its been carefully worded as event.
I would no doubt there would be still plenty officers still on duty would be very calious government to come out excuse to cancel leave too. Would government call a fake alert put all officers on standby.
I actually agree only last year during rights government asked for them to quell it. Now stamping all over it. It fills me with horror someone with no police background can suddenly walk in to high ranking position under these new proposals.
Dont understand why policing cant be career profession which this changes will break. It seems the government want there cake but they want to eat it too.
No was not assuming it would be angry mob scenerio the NHS had peaceful one. They got refused access thats what getting at that was still peaceful even under kettling. Would the on duty police stop them if its requested by the government or would we see first time officers refuse ignore the government wishes let fellow off duty officers continue.
