Re: Encyclopedia Britannica ends publication after 244yrs

The problem has always been that science and information is always updating and changing so much so that in a short space of time a set can become inaccurate.After the five years of secondary schooling they become less useful and keep them long enough they become doorstops.

Mind I used to read the very old set of Cassells encyclopaedia that my grandparents had acquired.They were from the turn of the 19th/20th century and were so quaint.They were a snapshot on history.
