That’s how the world works! If people actually wanted the standards that full service airlines offer then why are they having to compete with the low-cost airlines? The fact is the majority of people don't want that, they want to get from A to B (via C with Ryanair but you know that when you book) as cheaply as possible.

Alan, you are by your own admission fairly wealthy. Maybe paying an extra £100 to fly somewhere doesn’t bother you but, for the majority less fortunate than yourself, that could mean the difference between flying and not flying.
