Most fans would prefer to support their team rather than something else, that's kind of what makes them fans.

If they shut down the current TV deal becomes null and void, that coupled with teams losing two of their biggest paydays from Rangers games will send some clubs to the wall.

Yes there is a rise in assaults and disorder after the match, actual arrests at the game are very small. There is also a big jump in assaults and disorder after Scotland international matches which can't be blamed on sectarianism.
