Not entirely true...

Digital antenna tend to be more wideband than the old analogue antennas for that particular area. So if your antenna was tuned for the top end of the band you might have problems in fringe areas for digital signals lower in the band.

Best to try it and see, if you have an issue with some channels then you'll need a new antenna.

Your other option is a sat dish and freesat or FTA
