My kindle met with an accident when I was at work(I work on a ship) luckily a very good friend wasn't totally addicted to their new kindle and lent me their's until I got a new one from amazon. I certainly went into a cold sweat until the friend offered the loan.
( they did get my old cover as a reward though)
