It is not as if prices went up immediately after the last time they announced a "free" speed increase ...

If there isn't a link, someone needs to pull together marketing, strategy etc and put them on a communications course (oh, and proof read the CEO script before big price increase announcements to make sure everyone has the same story ). For a communications company, they really do need to get a grip.
