Tivo Has one big advantage over v+ and that is a bigger hd.So more hd content can be recorded. Also it is nice to find programs through actor searches and the like. Is it worth the extra £3 a month ?,well if you have some spare cash then yes but only just!
Apps are thin on the ground also and are not the great.Except Spotify,which you have to pay for.
