Re: Football Season 2011/12
Plus the fact that our FA made such an uproar over Sepp Blatter's comments on racism being settled with a handshake that letting John Terry stay as captain would have made us look like hypocrites. I couldn't care less if John Terry is a racist or not, as long as he can use his brain cell to make sure that if he has to make comments such as the one he is accused of saying in private where no-one can hear him say it, and therefore there cannot be such an uproar over it in the future.
I've always rated him as a bloody good defender and a leader on the pitch, it is a shame that he has such a dodgy moral compass that seems to permeate throughout the whole of the game of football nowadays. Now it seems to be about money, how many women they can sleep with in a night and how big their bank balance is.
Whatever happened to playing football because it was a boyhood dream to play for your favouritge football club? Apart from Best, I can't think of a single player in the game between the 1870's and 1980's that behaved like the animals of today's game.
