Queens Park Rangers are in talks with Fulham to sign striker Bobby Zamora.

The England forward has been linked with a move aaway from Craven Cottage and it is understood that former Fulham boss Mark Hughes has made an approach.

Manchester City are working on a deal to sign Chile midfielder David Pizarro, 32, on a free loan from Roma for the rest of the season.

City boss Roberto Mancini coached Pizarro at Inter Milan and would like to bolster his midfield for the Premier League title run-in.

Pizarro arrived in Italy from Santiago in 1998 and played for Udinese for five years before joining Inter

Bolton Wanderers have made an improved £7m offer for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha.

Trotters boss Owen Coyle confirmed that an initial bid for the 19-year-old had been lodged on Tuesday, but added that the two clubs were not in agreement over the player's valuation.

"I don't think it is to the value that the Crystal Palace chairman wants," said Coyle after the first bid.

"But it is an offer we felt was fair for a very talented young player

Chelsea have completed the signing of Genk winger Kevin de Bruyne for a fee believed to be £6.7m.

The 20-year-old has signed five-and-a-half-year contract at Stamford Bridge, but will be loaned back to the Belgian side for the rest of the season.

He told the club website: "To come to a team like Chelsea is a dream but now I have to work hard to achieve the level that's necessary."

Meanwhile, Blues striker Philipp Prosenik, 18, has joined AC Milan.

The Austrian has moved to the San Siro for an undisclosed fee
