As far as I know, each channel on DOCSIS3 is capable of 50Mbit so yeah, 4x channels gets you 200Mbit (just about). Once again, there is no reason technically to have to have a Superhub, however I do also know that virgin has had support issues with the Ambit 300 in the past (issues regarding firmware updates that they had to pay through the nose for), which is probably why they want people off them as soon as possible.
