I'm also looking to get content off my Tivo, but I'm specifically wanting to get an HD recording off the thing and keep it in HD.

Any options? I haven't got a blue ray recorder and don't really want one but would appreciate knowing if this is an option. I would be willing to invest in an HD USB capture device if one exists - if it does a tried and tested make/model would be much appreciated.

Failing that, if someone in the know could indicate if there is some way, by whatever means, of grabbing the file off the Tivo HD in decrypted form, I will follow it up and hopefully find out how to do it. Obviously don't break any cable forum T&Cs in your reply.

As someone has already said, there is absolutely no issue regarding copyright infringement here because I can already play any of my recordings on my Tivo and record them directly on to a DVD. It's just that I want the HD quality rather than the SD quality.
