http://speedtest.net/ and look for the Manchester server then test - move your mouse cursor to the little white dot on the map below (don't click on the tab)
begin test recommend server which upper left - two options will appear Manchester and Liverpool.. click on Manchester. bear in mind the sites flash/graphics hungry so it may not perform well if you've got a slow system.
