Re: Setting up router (Netgear) problem

That IP address looks like the address that VM allocate to your connection.

From that I infer that the PC is connected directly to the modem rather than the router. That is why you cannot connect to the routers home page.

Turn Modem, Router and PC off.

Then you need to make sure that the VM modem plugs into the WAN port of the router which is normally yellow in colour. Then plug your PC into 1 of the 4 LAN ports that are normally black in colour.

Then power on modem, wait for 2-3 mins, power on router, wait for 2-3 mins, then power on PC and see what you get this time.
