Yes i think you are right it will not be a priority for VM to introduce it.

It is so much more convienient to have one product one solution then to have to remember to put a reminder on a calendar or sit in front of the TV before the programme starts.

And lets face it TiVo has been sold on convienience.
XTV DVR technology still see it as important and their DVR software is in some 40 million homes with big customers such as Sky , Sky Italia , Foxtel IQ , Viasat to name just a few.
