Probably due to the fact that most of the news reported concerns affairs across the pond
If you had ever been to the US you would know the majority of the US news channels tend to show very little news stories from anywhere else in the world.

Agreed , I personally enjoy some of their shows such as press preview , Jeff Randall Live etc. I suppose its personal preference very similar to what paper you read , to get back on topic I feel VM offer a good selection of news channels , Al Jazeera would be a nice addition.
