Just because people buy 3D TVs does not mean they actually use 3D.
You can turn off 3D on 3D TVs.
You still need to buy the stupid glasses.
I will consider buying a glasses free 3D TV when it is a reasonable price , works properly and does not make the picture quailty on regular TV worse.
