Re: recording programmes from virgin media old box to dvd

If you have an aerial connected to the TV and the DVD recorder, you have the option to watch a Freeview channel whilst recording cable and vice versa. Depends if this is adequate for what you want to record.

Changing the V box for a TiVo, you can record up to 3 channels simultaniously, and you have the option of watching/recording in HD if your TV is capable of displaying it.
