The exposed cable isn't exposed enough to cause a trip or fall......Its only exposed about 2 inches, and you'd struggle to get your fingers underneath it.
My modem is a basic Virgin Media model E08C007 / ntl 250....
I'm afraid I don't have the first idea how to check signal levels or even what I would be looking for....
Various "internet speed tests", although I realise are unreliable, are throwing up different results, ranging from just above and just below 1MB.
Although the Uswitch speed tester gave a result of 19mb...even though at the precise moment my xbox live was lagging so much I had to turn off.
