I think as far south as Plymouth you're probably going to get away with it. However, right here, in a forest clearing in central Scotland, the noise of the wind is quite something, I can tell you.

I typed that out at 10am ... Just as the power went off. My iPad has helpfully submitted it as soon as our interwebs came back on with the leccy.

SSE Landrovers have just passed the window even though the power's been on a few minutes now - looks like they have some proper damage to fix. Ah, rural living.
