Are you talking about Tivo? The tivo I got in April was not half baked but offered functionality far above the V plus box. The only people
fooled were those who listened to the whingers who misrepresented tivo and focused on a few minor niggles and blew them up out of all proportion.
It did not take much research to discover that red button would not be on the initial release, if that was important to someone.
