HBO don't necessarily make good programmes. For example Band of Brothers = awesome. Pacific = mediocre. At least in my book.

The real issue here is that for those of us on VM, freeview, freesat, we don't know what we are missing, if anything, as these shows haven't made it to more accessible channels and unless you subscrfibe to more unauthorised aquisition methods you have no idea if it is or is not of quality.

Thus of the voters who so far say it is overhyped or not, I assume you are mostly satellite TV subscribers rather than other digital TV users.
