Hi all, some help would be appreciated

I have a standard virgin box in one room and would like to send the signal to a monitor in another room. The monitor only has a VGA input.
To add to this, I need to add some speakers to the receiving end of the signal so that sound can be heard.

I am thinking the following, but not sure if it will work:

virgin box > scart av wireless sender > receiver with RCA output > audio to speakers (not sure which yet, will be cheap ones though) and video to VGA via RCA to VGA connector.

Does the above sound like it would work?
