As I have mentioned elsewhere, SD picture is worse than V+, but that issue isn't enough in it self to want me to move back to the V+ box. If it's stuttering then you need to report the fault. It certainly doesn't stutter on mine or any of the TiVo's in the office.
if you are not happy, then you can still go back to V+ if you want. Call VM
