Thing is those are the most common uses of the internet. YouTube and iPlayer et. al are extremely popular and people rightly get upset when they don't work. Gaming, especially via XBOX Live and PSN, is also a very common everyday use. If your basic service can't support the most common applications and you expect a premium for them you won't last very long.
