Those channels intrest me (and a lot of people on this forum) and should be on virgin media!

I would say up to £40 (maybe more!)
Alan I'm sorry but I just can't take your posts seriously anymore. I admire your passion for what you believe in but £40.00 (maybe more!) for those channels is ludacris.

If you are prepared to pay £40.00 per month more than you do at the moment, you could actually cancel your current SKY Sports, SKY Movies and SKY HD premium subscription with Virgin. With the savings you make cancelling these services, plus the extra £40.00 (maybe more!) you are prepared to pay, you could actually get a subscription with SKY which includes all the HD channels you want, all the niche channels you want plus I'm sure you could probably get Boxnation and Premier Sports for that price too.

So within the budget you are prepared to work within you can keep your extra fast broadband with Virgin, keep your TV choice and catch-up TV, get all the channels you want plus be able to record hundreds of hours worth of TV on your SKY+ box and V+ boxes. You will never need to miss any programmes again.

So from here on in the only person holding you back from getting what you want is actually yourself. Clearly neither SKY or Virgin can deliver what you want but a combined service from both will deliver everything you desire.
