The cable TV provider is understood to be focusing on securing multi-screen rights rather than hosting only linear channels, in a bid to get the most value from the content on its platform.

Virgin is aiming to provide customers with content “anywhere and everywhere” and is now evaluating all of its content provider relationships with a view to securing multi-screen rights, a source told C21.

Very good decision by VM , many other providers worldwide are already doing this or planning to
