Re: I Cannot believe it - don't people know what today is

Personally I hold to the two minutes silence on 11/11 as that is the anniversary of the Armistice that ended WW1 and that's when we always honored it as kids in South Africa.

Most ex-service people I know hold to one or the other but not both.. especially as it was only in 1995 that for some weird reason on the 50th year of the end of WW2 it suddenly became important to honour both days..
