Equally depressing the current one is more interested in propping up insolvent banks, protecting overextended borrowers and inflating away debt for political reasons than people's eroding living standards.
Crossing their fingers and hoping they can defer the real pain until after the next election, however much money thrown into the banking system it takes to keep the bubbles inflated.
