wazz. you do not need to do anything. The only cable being re-pulled is the one outside of your house.
If the engineer needs anything disconnected inside your home he will do it himself, in fact your doing so could hinder him. Just let him get on with his job, and if you really feel the need to do something just put the kettle on and offer him a brew.
