Here coming into the city centre there's 2 lanes into town, one lane out, with a flat central reservation. The amount of times there's 2 lines of traffic and you'll see someone take to the central reservation and just sail past because apparently they're so much more important than everyone else is ridiculous.
Then you have the buses that just pull out even when you're along side them. Or the people that go round buses even though there's a ton of oncoming traffic.
It's not really helped by the insistence of putting bus stops right on corners either, you can't park within 10m of a corner (although no one obeys that these days anyway) yet you can stick a bus stop right on top of one. As well as pedestrian crossings. Those things are always in the worst place, either on a corner or half hidden by a bend.

Good point I started in 85 although degree it may been less cars was on the road. Driving was relaxed affair less stressful. Today everyone wants to be last year to the destination.
I had bloke walk out on me had to swerve just because he could not wait 2 seconds. Then he was quickly off right up my bumper. Bibbing hooter for me to go faster if you came out earlier then you dont needed to drive aggressive is what I say.
Touch wood never been in accident yet and cleen licence only got 1 parking ticket for inconsiderate parking. I had parked with dads disabled bad 1 foot to close to junction as did not realise I overhanged the disabled bay jobsworth copper.
However I have witnessed 3 bad accidents.
1 was where I was witness where car smashed into car coming out narrowly missed collecting me. Another was lorry shot through red light hit car then drove off left loads debri and washing mashine.
3rd was horror one at night new year. Biker behind me charging down road smashed into central ireland. bike was sliding at 70mph at my car managed to drive forward keep eye on it let it pass me. Ended with it front of the car. Rushed to the chap he had no helmet so tried to stop him moving with help but he had been drinking heavily stronger us tried to move. Yes not saying what but claret came out really bad so we had to put preasure on it.
Ambulance came dealt with it sadly heared he died and that it was stolen bike. At first traffic copper thought I had hit him but after talking to first scene copper he lightened up towards me. Praised me for avoiding motorbike

said it could hit me flipped gone into back window hit my passengers.

Worst accident ever seen glad it was night poorly lit I would freaked out. they never found helmet so with the sort head injury sustained cops felt he never wore one.
I would not wish that on anyone to see or be involved.
