Surprisingly people actually liked BL's cars in the 70's and would have bought enough to keep the company afloat if they could have produced them. The constant strikes holding up deliveries and causing poor production quality caused customers to go elsewhere and never return. That blighted future developments by starving them of funds. It's why the Metro had to soldier on with the mini's engine for a decade.

Yes l know and then we have the other end of the scale and the great profit making of privatised companies and their greedy shareholders and where the poor customer gets continious price rises and a very shoddy service while they coin in huge profits.
