In the 90s, the channel suppliers insisted on selling them in packs of channels in bandings (numbers of thousands of customers), and if that still the case today, VM (and customers who didn't want to pay for more HD) would have to subsidise those who do (as explained previously).


I suspect your Times paywall subscription is being subsidised by other Times readers and l suspect you won't be moaning about that.
