Pleased with my time of 1:47:24 but missed out on the the experience of the great atmosphere down the finishing straight. I have no recollection of the last 600 yards so I'll have to do it again next year.
I'm not sure my better half will agree since she spent over an hour with my two daughters at our prearranged meeting place wondering what was happening.

LOL. Sounds like fun. I bonked on a cycle ride last week. Didn't eat properly, and did a 1000 foot climb onto the moors in Yorkshire straight out of the parking lot. I managed to get to the top, but had blurry vision, had to sit down and nearly threw up. Wife managed to force a muesli bar down my throat which helped. Fifteen minutes later I was back on the bike to continue the 30 miles up and down the moors. Not something I want to experience again though...
On the upside: managed to beat my PB on our 20 mile training ride.Upped the average speed from 14.4 to 14.8 MPH. Mostly due to the lack of wind, but nice anyway
