R30 firmware is currently being tested and should be rolled out soon so your neighbours SuperHub should sort it out when his SH receives it.

I very much doubt a tech has done too much to your neighbours SuperHub. The max they would do is check power levels/connection and a simple speedtest. Unless your neighbour has told you he toyed with the settings on wireless... he hasn't.

Another thing is number 1 may be used by yourself but you don't own it. I've been annoyed to find new routers etc. use the same number as me but you just have to go with it. Not everyone is clued up enough to figure this sort of thing out. If you have a major issue with it then go have a chat with your neighbour. If you really are vexed then move onto 5GHz, not many people use it and you should be isolated.
