With less than two weeks to go until V Festival 2011, headline sponsor Virgin Media is preparing for the biggest weekend of the summer with the launch of its first ever V Festival app for its cutting edge TV service powered by TiVo. For fans who missed out on tickets or for those simply wanting to enjoy the festival from the comfort of their living room, the new interactive TiVo app gives customers exclusive access to content from this year’s festival and the opportunity to relive some of the best V Festival moments of the past.

The new app, developed by Virgin Media, can be found from today in the Virgin Media TiVo ‘Apps and Games’ section. The app complements terrestrial broadcast coverage on Channel 4 and 4Music with a wealth of video content that will be continuously updated during the festival weekend to include special backstage performances and exclusive artist interviews. Fans will also be able to keep up with the latest news and gossip direct from the event with a live feed from the @vfestival twitter feed.
