Virgin Media is bolstering its ondemand content catalogue following an agreement with pay-TV rival Sky to offer content from Sky 1 and Sky Living, as well as a range of movies.
Comedy panel show A League Of Their Own and reality series Britain’s Next Top Model are among the shows likely to be made available to Virgin subscribers via its on-demand service across TV and Tivo. Mobile and online distribution are expected to follow.
The deal is understood to initially include around 100 hours of content, which will start to be made available this autumn. The Sky content will sit in Virgin’s TV Choice archive rather than form part of its catch-up section.
