I do not understand those who say they can't tell the difference except perhaps if the reason is:

a) The system has not been set up correctly or
b) The viewer has eyesight problems or
c) The TV is not particularly good (maybe it is the cheap end of the market) or

All I can say is that the difference on our TV is startling. I feel sorry for those who do not notice a difference, for whatever reason. As for why they continue to pay for and watch the HD channels, now there's a good question!
