My philosophy since my 1st PVR 10 years ago has always been to record the world and then decide whether or not to watch it - that was curtailed when i got V+ but nobody else seemed to notice it was crippled apart from me, Tivo is certainly my best box so far to get back on track - cant remember the last time we watched live TV, my wife hates adverts with a passion i cant even begin to complete with :o)

i have heard quite recently reminders are actually unlikely to come to Tivo - cant remember where i read it or how reliable the info is

maybe they have enough on their hands fixing the bugs to add any new features
