VM could just send them to landfill, if it pays the appropriate landfill charges. I think that's what people claim VM does, when they say VM contributes to local authority disposal schemes.

I still want to know why it's the renter's job to dispose of VM's scrap property in an appropriate manner. When did "cheaper for the owner" become a reason to avoid their responsibilities.
