I have theory about that, regarding plurality. All of this could be an elaborate strategy for Murdoch to actually seize control of BSkyB. One of the major stumbling blocks was his excessive media holdings in the UK. As he has now let the largest part of his newspaper empire to fold, his share in the UK print media has diminished significantly, thus almost eliminating the problem. As we have seen over he last few days, the share price in BSkyB has fallen, by almost twenty percent, in the last couple of weeks, it will cost him considerably less. All he has to do now, is bribe a few OFCOM officials and he will be home and dry. Only a theory, mind.
