Check what port winmx is listening on. It should be in the options somewhere.

Open a command prompt and check what ip your computer has. e.g. 192.168.0.xxx.

Go to your routers config page and forward the port that it's listening on to your computers ip. Forward both TCP and UDP to be sure.

I too am astounded that winmx still works though.
