Signed up for a 16 mile race round the southside of Glasgow in October so need to get the mileage up for that and the Glasgow half marathon in September. If I can keep training on up till the end of October I might be able to stop the usual winter shutdown that ends up with pain in the New Year when I try to get back to the level of fitness I had the year before.
I feel like a lie down thinking about that

I've signed up to do the Glasgow half marathon in September too. It's my first one so any advice or tips on training more than welcome.
