Somethings take a while to program and test before releasing, its not a simple straight forward thing as so many people on here seem to think.

I agree somethings are quite complex and do need time, but you would think that changing the field order would be a single line of code or even just a true/false variable.
What is more likely is that VM have contractually agreed x number of releases per year and don't want to fork out extra money for an interim fix.
